At Wildlands Network: Margo McKnight became Executive Director for Wildlands Network in 2004. She is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the organization including: business strategies, communications, conservation programs and, of course, fundraising and financing.

At Wildlands Network: Chris Black has been the Business Manager for Wildlands Network since July 2010. His main duties include daily accounting functions, financial reporting responsibilities, and managing the operational budget. He also performs frequent updates to the donor database.

At Wildlands Network: Sandi Boone has been the Chief Financial Officer for Wildlands Network since May 2005. In addition to her financial responsibilities, which includes oversight of all accounting functions, she handles human resource issues, wrangles the donor database, helps maintain the website, and organizes our Fall Fundraising Campaign.

Outreach Director

At Wildlands Network:  As Wildlands Network’s Outreach Director, Tracey works with a wide diversity of audiences. Her rich work experience coupled with her artistic talents gives her a great foundation in this role for the organization.

At Wildlands Network: Lise Meinke is our Social Media Manager. She is the content manager for the Facebook page, Twitter accounts and YouTube channel and assists with the website. She works with the Communication team in future social media planning for the organization.

At Wildlands Network: Conrad Reining is responsible for the Eastern Program, which extends from the boreal reaches of Québec’s Gaspé Peninsula through the Appalachian Mountains to the Everglades of Florida. He is responsible for coordinating conservation planning, outreach and fundraising for this vast and diverse area, the Eastern Wildway, with the ultimate goal of developing a vision of linked conservation areas stretching along its full length.

At Wildlands Network: Kenyon Fields is Strategy Director for Wildlands Network, focusing his efforts on a long-term comprehensive strategy for the Western Wildlway Network Initiative. The Initiative is an international effort to employ the power of networks of people to protect a network of conservation lands from northern Alaska’s Brooks Range down through the Canadian and American Rockies into northern Mexico.

At Wildlands Network: Lisa Lauf Rooper has been a communications consultant for Wildlands Network since 2004. She is editor of the Wildands Connection newsletter; leads branding, strategic and messaging efforts; writes, edits and co-develops numerous organizational electronic, video and print pieces; oversees the creation of Wildlands Network’ website (present and future); participates in staff meetings and conferences; and acts a lot like an employee even though she operates her own business, Sage Communications.

At Wildlands Network: Ron is a conservation scientist leading our efforts to create a Wildlands Network Design for the Southeast Atlantic Coastal Plain, an extremely bio-diverse region stretching from southern Virginia to southern Florida. Joining the Wildlands Network in the summer of 2010, he is also helping to design and implement wildlife corridors connecting the coastal plain to the extensive mountain forests in the Southern Appalachians.

At Wildlands Network:  Kim Vacariu is the Western Director for the Wildlands Network. He currently works with a broad range of local, state, and federal agencies, conservation groups, elected officials and private citizens to implement Wildlands Network Conservation Plans in the western U.S.

At Wildlands Network: Kelly Diedring Harris is our publicity consultant.  Currently focusing on the Eastern U.S. and Canadian media outlets, Kelly is promoting our TrekEast campaign so that people across North America can support our cause and make a difference.  She writes press releases, provides media alerts, pitches local and national media outlets, develops and maintains media relationships, and books media interviews for Wildlands Network staff.  Kelly also consults on TrekEast’s social networking strategies.

  At Wildlands Network: Hannah is a volunteer photographer for Wildlands Network when she is not social marketing for Shorty's Urban Market Grocery store! She has traveled to meet John Davis and other Wildlands folks to capture images of the TrekEast journey.
